Bwthyn yr Afon (River Cottage) at Aberarth is the ideal place from which to enjoy the spectacular scenery, beautiful beaches and abundant wildlife to be found around Cardigan Bay.

For the more energetic, it’s also an ideal base from which to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, all within a reasonable distance.

Inside the Cottage

This cosy centrally-heated cottage sleeps up to 8 people and enjoys an inverted floor plan that gives a lovely view to the sea, which is less than 200 metres away.

The ground floor comprises three double bedrooms, bathroom with corner bath and separate electric shower, plus laundry / drying room.  On the upper floor the accommodation comprises a fully fitted kitchen with Dishwasher, freezer, microwave, double oven, 4 ring hob, and dining area.  There is a comfortable lounge with double sofa bed, and the impressive garden room with views towards the sea.

Outside the Cottage

The large private garden to the side an rear of the house features an outdoor kitchen and dining area.  And we have a range of garden furniture, games and BBQ available for guests.

Ample car parking spaces also available with space for up to 4 vehicles

A beautiful coastline with abundant wildlife, unspoilt countryside, places of interest and outdoor activities a plenty are all within easy reach, so whatever your choice of holiday, there is something for you.

Newquay, Aberaeron and Aberystwyth all offer a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs for your pleasure, but there are also lots of opportunities for you to enjoy walking, cycling, sailing, surfing, fishing, pony trekking, golf, mountain biking, horse riding all around.  You can even enjoy a ride on one of Wales’ fabulous narrow gauge steam railways through wonderful countryside from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge.
